"I am speechless: I was up against drivers with international experience and I won! Yesterday I tried to get to know the car and I set the second best time. I struggled a bit in the race but then settled into a rhythm and stuck to the leaders. I made the most of a few clashes to close the gap even more and then move into the lead. Luck was on my side but I think I did well too".
Cedric Sbirrazzuoli (1st Overall, 1st Team):
"It was a much tighter race than the one at Portimao. I think our performances were conditioned by the high temperatures that have been around since Friday's free practice. I started on pole and tried to pull away but couldn't because we were all lapping at more or less the same pace. I had a close battle with Simoni and we both ended up in the gravel. I held onto my spot but Simoni spun and couldn't continue. That was when I retook top spot. I slowed down for a lapped driver towards the end and because the yellow flag was out. It was then that Lorenzini went past me so it will be for the judges to sort out".
Stefano Garelli (3rd Overall, 1st Trofeo):
"The last time I raced at Imola was in 1986; since then I have never been back. Back then racing was very different and so was Imola. Even so, I am pleased and the adrenalin buzz takes away the tiredness and the crazy heat. It is an incredible feeling, especially as this is my home race: I only live a few miles away".
