Top drivers penalised after qualifying

Still valid this year is the rule stating that drivers who change one or more tyres in qualifying have to start from the back.

At the end of the first qualifying session, Moroccan Larbi Tadlaoui and Lebanese driver Tani Hanna called for new tyres; they had finished fifteenth and seventeenth, respectively. In Race 2, starting from the back will be Riccardo Romagnoli and Richard Denny (who qualified eighth and ninth), Larbi Tadlaoui (seventeenth), Tani Hanna (twentieth) and Adrien De Leener (twenty-first).
