“It turned out to be a fantastic weekend even though we had to skip the first free practice session with a technical problem. We didn’t have any other hitches once it was sorted out and I was able to have fun alongside my son, Adrian. He raced really well yesterday and, even though I spun, I am pleased with how it went too. In Race 3, where we teamed up, I thought we drove well and finished in a decent position. It is always nice being able to spend time at the wheel of this splendid car with my son”.
Unique cars, just like the unique emotions stirred by the circuits on the Trofeo calendar. Portimao did not disappoint De Leener.
“The circuit was a real surprise because we didn’t know it at all. We discovered it lap by lap, learning the best racing line during the various sessions. When we were able stick to the fastest cars, the learning curve was much steeper”.
