"Maybe it is because I have more experience or feel more at home in the GranTurismo, but whatever the reason, I improved my lap time by over a second; something I am proud of. My only concern is the humidity which is always high here. I hope the race conditions are similar to today's".
Jaime Hernandez: "I noticed a few differences on my second Trofeo Maserati appearance. The transmission and brakes are better and you can feel the greater power on the track. I was pleased with yesterday's free practice because my time was exactly the same as my 2010 best. Having said that, I didn't continue the form today and was slower. It is a bit confusing as the car feels much better but the stopwatch is against me. I have raced at Valencia on three previous occasions and the fact that it is completely flat is a slight disadvantage because you can't pick out any reference points. Even though, it is a track that I like: 'muy bonito'. As for the overall level of the drivers, I feel that the gap between the top drivers and the rest of the pack has increased since last year. Last season there were some quick drivers around but the rest were not too far off them".
