The afternoon start went well but then I started feeling the heat and the physical demands. I still have to get used to the changes made to the car and hope to do better at Monza”.
Giorgio Manuzzi (14th overall): “I had a lot of fun because I felt comfortable in the car. After the opening laps I stuck to the three drivers ahead of me and was matching them for lap times. Then I got out of the way when the lead cars came round and lost touch. Someone then rammed into the back of me going downhill at Rivazza. This took out the rear of the car and slowed me right down on the last lap. I cannot wait to get behind the wheel again, at Spa. This is a world away from the old Trofeo I drove in the last series; it is completely different.
