"It was a fantastic weekend. I managed to be quick and consistent and this allowed me to build a lead and cross the line alone".
Phil Bastiaans – (2nd overall, 2nd Team):
“First of all I would like to congratulate Norbert Kiss: there was no way I could get near him. This was my second time in a Maserati GranTurismo MC; the first was in the 6 Hours of Vallelunga last year. I didn’t know the Hungaroring circuit and I found it really tough. The second race was much better. After getting off to a good start I found myself in second place and I held onto it until the end. It was a great day’s racing and the big crowd helped”.
Emanuele Smurra – Swiss Team (13th overall, 3rd Team):
“I didn’t enjoy myself as much as at Imola because the Hungaroring is a really difficult circuit. I have to admit, though, that having such a big crowd makes a difference. It is great seeing so many enthusiastic fans”.
