"David Baldi raced like a lion; he never gives up. I built up a big lead over him but struggled to maintain it because he was always there or thereabouts; whenever I looked in the mirror, there he was. In the end I managed to win at the mythical Donington Park. It was a shame about the Race 1 clash because we both had a chance of winning the race".
David Baldi (2nd overall and in the Trofeo): "I'll come away with a decent haul of points. Race 2 was very competitive. I started from the front but then Ardagna came up fast. I decided to let him through so I could learn a bit about Donington. Jokes aside, there were some sections where he was quicker and some where I was. Overall I am pleased as the championship situation is looking good but there is still a long way to go".
Nicolò Piancastelli (3rd overall and in the Trofeo): "Race 2 here at Donington was marvellous. I started off ninth because I was hit with not one but two penalties after this morning's clash with Ardagna. I felt it was a bit harsh getting a 25 second penalty for Race 1 and then being relegated six places on the grid. The penalty compromised Race 2 and but I made a bit of a comeback. I was quick and was able to tag the leaders and set the race's fastest lap; right at the end, I think. Unfortunately I didn't get what I really wanted out of the race even though I was quick. It was the wins I was after. It was a pity but we will try to make up for it in the next round, making fewer errors and going as hard as we can".
