"Its delicate handling suits drivers of our ability but it is still fun to drive and being satisfied with how it handles after driving it for the first time is very positive. The circuit is splendid but very complicated. I ran two laps this morning and I was really spaced out. This afternoon I covered a few more laps and things fell into place more. I think there is still some room for improvement, especially when it comes to braking. Things should get interesting if it rains".
Roberto Giordanelli: "The car is great. It was good last year but this time round it is even better. Donington is a tricky circuit, especially the fast curves, but it is there that you can gain time depending on how you take them. I love the Maserati marque and the cars. We will see how things go tomorrow... Fingers crossed it won't rain".
Nicolò Piancastelli: "Things improved in session two. There was more grip on the track and I got to know the layout more. This meant that I bettered my time by four tenths from the morning. I dropped a few tenths on my quick laps by messing up the braking for one curve and spinning at another. Still, it is better that it happened today and not in qualifying or in the races. I tried out a few different racing lines today on what is a difficult circuit. It seems easy at first but it is demanding. I think it is important to drive consistently on this track and whoever makes the fewest mistakes in the race will come out on top. I hope it doesn't rain because the car is set up well for these conditions. It will be fun if it does rain...".
