It has been a traumatic introduction to the circuit with his crash in free practice. Even though the car rolled over, Maggi escaped unhurt but the time lost meant the Belgian track is still something of a mystery. It was no surprise that the two qualifying runs here, with a return of an eleventh and a thirteenth place, did not match his form at Monza. Even so, Maggi seems cool enough and is gambling on making a comeback when the races begin.
"Qualifying was far from easy and yesterday's accident meant that I didn't finish free practice or have a chance to study what is a new track for me. I am adapting slowly and will be out to climb the field and finish among the leaders, just like at Monza".
