Maggi aims to put things right in Race 2

Maggi aims to put things right in Race 2

When expectations are high, sixth place might be taken as a disappointing result. This is exactly what Francesco Maggi felt considering how things went in the race. The bad luck which had ruined the second qualifying session seemed to have followed him into the race.

"It was a difficult start because I was caught up in the bunch. When La Mazza spun his car ran into the side of mine. I drove one lap trying to work out how bad the damage was and when I realised everything was okay I stepped up the pace until I found myself in sixth".

Sixth position means "championship points. In Race 2 I will have to make a comeback as I will be starting from last on the grid. Luckily, I will have a new set of tyres on the car".
