Realising that top spot was out of reach given Alessandro Pier Guidi's form, he worked hard to reach his target. His tactics were sometimes maybe a little below the belt, like his move on Sundberg in Race 1 and on Paolo Necchi in Race 2.
Apart from this, Blakeney put in top drawer performances.
"As I finished fourth in Race 1 and third in Race 2, I would need another two races to top the podium! This afternoon's was a tough race as it was much warmer than this morning. I had to defend my position from the drivers behind me while also trying to go for second so it was never boring! I clashed with Necchi towards the end and I am sorry that he couldn't finish the race".
