Andrea Bertolini – N. 1 – Vitaphone Racing Team
“In this afternoon's Qualifying Race the good balance of the car will help a lot with tyre degradation. So yes, I look forward to this afternoon and I'm happy with the car, thanks to all the team.”.
Michael Bartels – N. 1 – Vitaphone Racing Team
"It was a special result, especially for Andrea who took pole in Q3. There are no other drivers in the world who know the track like he does.
We managed to place the Maserati ahead of the pack and this means we are very well placed for this afternoon's Qualifying Race. Like at Brno, we have another chance to go for the win from pole position.
We are seeing the benefits of the tests held at Vallelunga a few weeks ago. We were quite relaxed during the sessions because they were run during a gap in the calendar.
The other MC12s didn't do as well. Bertolini proved how good the car is and so we have to work harder to do better in the race".
Enrique Bernoldi – N. 2 – Vitaphone Racing Team
"I like Paul Ricard: in 2009 I took pole and won a race. I think that the track suits the other cars more than the Maserati. As things stand, the other cars are favourites while ours are penalised by the limits placed on the air restrictor.
We have to remember that the Maserati suffers less from tyre wear than the other cars and this could make a huge difference, above all over the closing stages".
