All the Maserati drivers have arrived for the race at Interlagos in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and the new faces are taking the opportunity to get to know the team.
For this Brazilian event, the Vitaphone Racing Team will be fielding its series-leading crew of Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini. In the team's other Maserati MC12, alongside Enrique Bernoldi, will be another Brazilian: Xandinho Negrão. Negrão raced in a Maserati during the 2008 FIA GT flanked by Miguel Ramos; the duo scored a win at Nogaro. These days Negrão appears in the Stock Car championship.
Altfrid Heger makes a return to the Triple H Team to share the drive with Alex Mueller. The second MC12 will be driven by an all-new pairing, also Brazilian, of Daniel Serra and Francisco Longo. Serra also competes in the Stock Car series and is the son of Chico Serra, the ex-Formula 1 driver from the early eighties while Francisco Longo is CEO of the Via Italia group, Maserati's importer in Brazil. He also has solid track experience and has won the Brazilian Endurance Championship two years running: in 2009 and 2010.
