Andrea Bertolini - Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati MC12 No.1
"We had to do this to get some feedback on changing the set up as, obviously, we couldn't do it on the track yesterday. Anyway, the car is fine: the team did its usual incredible job.
We will start from the back of the field so I hope that the weather does something to mix things up a bit. This might give us a chance to try something in the race and so change our fortunes. The ballast really counts on this circuit and all the heavier cars are suffering here. We had a few problems with checking the set up and yesterday we couldn't do it in the Qualifying Race. This means that the result of our work will only be seen in the race."
Alex Mueller - Triple H Team Hegersport - No.33 Maserati MC12
"I am very happy to be back in the Maserati family"
"I am very pleased to be back in the Maserati family as I have felt really at home here in the past. At Maserati there is great professionalism and a high level of teamwork".
"Things went well in yesterday's Qualifying Race: we started from the back of the field and came back strongly to close out in thirteenth. We still have another eleven positions to go to make the podium and we hope to do that in today's race".
"The car is running great. Warm up was held in the wet and we tried out various set ups and tyres so that we are prepared for all weather and track conditions".
