Two pole positions and a win is the haul so far with Alessandro Pier Guidi pocketing the lot.
After securing pole position in both qualifying sessions, the driver from Alessandria also dominated Saturday's race. Starting from the front row, Pier Guidi slipped two positions in the first few metres but only because he tried to avoid clashing with other drivers and ruining his race. He didn't take long to re-take the lead and, once he had, he held off the pack in style.
Even after the obligatory pit stops the Maserati had no rivals on the track and Pier Guidi crossed the line 12 seconds ahead of Dutch driver Mejier.
The other Maserati GranTurismo GT4, driven by Edouard Gravereaux and fielded by team JMB, finished in thirteenth.
Race 2 will start at 12.50 on Sunday with Pier Guidi again on pole.
