The comments after the qualifying

20/06/2009 - Oschersleben
Alex Müller: "I'm very pleased with this result because I consider Oschersleben my "home" circuit".

Andrea Bertolini: Michael ran a perfect lap! We have to bear in mind that we had lots of ballast on board and without it we would probably be in pole. The track pace is excellent and we have to stay focused. We need to take the weather into account for tomorrow’s race but we are optimistic”.

Alex Müller (2): "I have to thank the team, which worked very hard to supply Ramos and me with a top performing car. It is the season's second pole position for the Vitaphone Racing Team. Tomorrow we will race to win".

Michael Bartels: «I think today was a great show of strength from our cars considering the ballast we had. Andrea and I had 95kg and Miguel and Alex 45kg. Clocking first and fourth is not too bad especially as the other cars did not have any ballast to worry about».

«Alex’s pole was the first ‘real’ one this year after the one we inherited from Saleen at Adria. We have not been in pole position since Nogaro in 2007 and so we are really pleased. Alex and Miguel showed how fast and consistent they were and so will start as favourites tomorrow. As for Andrea and me, I think fourth is a positive result. Being quick means we are optimistic. I will be doing my best tomorrow to continue Maserati’s winning tradition here at Oschersleben and make up for last year».
