Maserati’s new sports model, fielded by AF Corse, will be driven by Lorenzo Casé following a solid drive at the Ardennes track. The thirty-five year old ex-Italian GT champion already feels at home in the car and at the demanding circuit situated some 80 km from Brussels.
In the first free practice session, Casé clocked the fourth best time of 1:44.06, just over a second down on the morning’s fastest of 1:42.93 - one set by Abbott-Fletcher’s Ginetta G50.
In session two, the Italian stopped the stopwatch at 1:43.29, good enough for sixth. Casé’s time was 1”296 down on Guttroff-Richter and their leading Corvette C6.
