Ramos/Negraõ second at Monza
Monza - The Vitaphone Racing team notched an excellent second place with Miguel Ramos and Alexander Negraõ at the second round of the FIA GT at Monza.
The other Vitaphone Racing Maserati, driven by Andrea Bertolini and Michael Bartels, finished in fifth to round off a tough weekend in the best of ways. Twenty five minutes in, the number 1 MC12, driven by Bertolini in this stint, was forced into an early stop when his blown rear tyre damaged the rear of the car. The points gained today by the Vitaphone Racing team’s MC12s have moved the scuderia to the top of the Teams’ standings.
In the Drivers’ series, Bertolini and Bartels are just three points off leading pace going into the second Italian stage to be held at Adria on 21 June. The third Maserati taking part, fielded by JMB Racing and with Ben Aucott and Stephane Daoudi at the wheel, just missed out on the points in finishing ninth.
