Pit & Paddock
Comments after the race at Paul Ricard
Thomas Biagi (2): «We could have taken victory but what happened during the formation lap is incredible. Unfortunately, another driver's lack of attention had a huge effect and meant that we had to start from the pit lane.
However, the mechanics were brilliant in getting the car ready for the track. We drivers did the rest. We battled right from the start to bring home as many points as we could».
Jamie Davies: «At the beginning of the race I was just ready to walk to the grid, to see Thomas, but I saw the car coming back to the pits, which was a real surprise. We had huge suspension damage, and the team did a great job. Thomas did a great job in the first stint. We had a really good car this week end, Maserati and Pirelli did a great job. It would have been tough to beat the Corvette. Third position is a good result, and after the start we are very happy with that. Now I look forward to Dijon, where I hope we will have a clear race without any dramas».
Andrea Bertolini: «With 125 kilos on board it was hard to do any better. The weight has a big influence on how the car's parts function, from the brakes to the tyres. We controlled the race and, above all, still lead the drivers' championship».
