In the twenty minutes the drivers had to set a fast time, Michael Bartels stopped the clock at 1'21"520, giving him number one spot for tomorrow's 13.30 race.
The German's quick time was set on his third lap as he was slowed by traffic on the opening two. The MC12 driven by Davies/Biagi will start from row two. The English driver finished fourth overall and posted a time of 1'22"290. Afterwards, he revealed that the car had suffered from oversteer in some curves.
The number 2 car will, however, be forced to start from fourteenth after being hit with a penalty at Brno. The Saleen crewed by Bert/Janis (second, 1'21"853) and the Corvette driven by Hezemans/Longin/Kumpen (third, 1'22"222) separate the two MC12s.
