Andrea Bertolini: «Qualifying was exciting as the track conditions changed over the course of twenty minutes. The team, once more, were great as they were ready and waiting when I asked for slicks. A special thanks goes to Pirelli as we have worked together to develop tyres that proved very efficient today».
Toni Vilander (2): «Qualifying in third was down to the team as the mechanics managed to repair the car after the accident in free practice. The car was not ready when I began the qualifying session. I ran an out-in to check that everything was okay and I immediately realised that the tyres were not right and I called for the slicks. The car was then taken in and was made perfect, proving once more how professional the team is.»
Thomas Biagi: «We are only six tenths off third even though, on our fastest last lap, I had an Aston Martin ahead of me that slowed me down. I think that we could make the second row. The car is handling quiet well and we are hopeful of a good performance.»
Michael Bartels: «I am very happy as we have two cars on the podium and I have to thank Davies and Biagi for this as I started from row four in demanding conditions. Bertolini did well in the first hour in the rain, even though I thought the safety car would be needed at the start. I thought it was a little difficult».
Jamie Davies (2): «This was the reason why I did not push on at the beginning. I thought that it would be a drawn out race and, as such, useless taking risks. Biagi was superb in driving hard for two stints. Together with Pirelli, we conducted a good test in using rain tyres, intermediates and slicks in the course of the race».
